As homeschoolers , we are not at all trying to replicate traditional schools,even with the school at home method. We let our children learn at their own pace,in a non-demanding environment.A ride in the car,grocery shopping, or even bathtime becomes a learning experience not to mention a wonderful chance for family bonding.
Did you know.... As a homeschool your household is entitled to free State Fair Tickets just like the public schools. For this year it is too late to submit your information for your free tickets, but , I have all the information from the Public Relations Rep. for next year. I realize that next year seems a long time away, but it is well worth it to print and save the information to have every year. 2007 Home School Tickets Request Guidelines All requests must be made in writing. No requests made by phone or e-mail will be accepted. The program is for Kinder thru 12th grade beginning with 5 year olds. There is no ticket program for kids under 5. You must submit requests individually, we do not accept requests from home school groups. You must live within a 100 mile radius of the fairgrounds. Please submit your request on school letterhead if you have one, if not any paper/stationery will do, just make sure to include your name and address in your letter. Include the ages and grade levels of each student. Name is not necessary. Requests without this info. will be returned unfilled. You can request one teacher ticket per family. If you would like a teacher ticket, please include your request in your letter. Include daytime phone number where we can reach you in case you have left out any info. Include a business size stamped envelope.Please DO NOT address the envelope as we print labels for the envelopes. The envelope MUST BE business size because of the length of the tickets. ALL requests MUST BE POSTMARKED AND COMPLETE by the deadline date of Friday, May 25th, 2007 for the 2007 State Fair. State Fair of Texas September 29th , 2006 On the first day of the fair, if you bring a 20oz. Coca-Cola product or larger to any of the gates, you will get in for $4, a huge discount from the $13 for an adult ticket. All donations will go to the North Texas Food Bank.
